Each year in the Archdiocese of Dubuque, the Archbishop concelebrates the Chrism Mass with the priests of the archdiocese.  The Chrism Mass is celebrated during Holy Week.  

The oils consecrated or blessed during the Mass signify the presence of the archbishop in the presence of the parish whenever the oils are utilized.  The Oil of the Catechumens and the Oil of the Sick are blessed, while the Sacred Chrism is consecrated when the archbishop invokes the power of the Holy Spirit in blessing upon the oil.

We hope you will join us on our second annual Chrism Mass trip.

The Chrism Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Raphael in Dubuque.

We will depart from the St. Ludmila parking lot at 11:30 AM and return at 7:30 PM.

The cost of this trip is $65.  That includes round trip buss fare and an evening meal at Timmerman's Supper Club (meal includes two meats, sides, coffee, water, lemonade or iced tea, plus tax and gratuity).  Alcoholic beverages are excluded from this price and must be purchased separately.

Payments can be made at the parish office.

Please register on the form provided.  Please fill out a separate form for each person attending.  Liturgy Committee representatives will also be available after all Masses to register and collect payment.
