The St. Ludmila Liturgy Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center
Each meeting begins with a prayer led by a group member. This is followed by reports from each of the areas of ministry. There are two youth representatives that keep us informed of youth activities. This committee oversees the church environment, which includes the decorating for all liturgies including plants and flowers and decorating for Christmas, Easter, and other special seasons.
The Liturgy Committee plans special liturgies for Advent, Lent, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, Mass of Remembrance, and Christmas. Liturgies are built around the key basics of welcoming, word, Eucharist, and music. Members of the committee help to train parishioners in various parish ministries, including lectors, ministers of hospitality, Eucharistic ministers, and altar servers.
The Liturgy Committee is always welcoming to new members. The only thing necessary is a willingness to work toward active participation in the liturgies at St. Ludmila’s.
